New Item Pack v1

This mod adds 30 NEW items to the game.

18 weapons and 12 pieces of clothing.


There are 2 versions:

'Mod_Pack_v1_Trader' Adds a Trader to the game who can sell you the new items.

'Mod_Pack_v1_Chest' Adds a chest to the game with all the new items in it.


Both mods can be used no matter if you have or have not used the FreeRoam App.

This mod has been tested and should work without problems, however:
If you want to be able to undo the mod: make backups!

Very good idea Oldboy and i like the sound of this pack and im sure many modders will enjoy it and make use of it, great work by everyone involved. +rep for sure.

Thanks, now planning for v2...

Another thing I'd like to point out: This mod only requires Fable Explorer.
It's just: Start Fable Explorer, load FMP, save, and play.

Which makes it very accesable, also for people with no experience in modding.

Which is why I give you three thumbs up man. Awesome for people who are new to modding and wants some of the most wanted (like Thunder's Armour... man, that is sweet. Will rule for my barbarian-type hero) custom items without much trouble.

Ugh. I got a major problem with this; A permanent chest! With the Trader fmp you get a chest containing two items, the Starwars mask and THunder's helmet.

The problem is, however, I can't remove it! I try FE aswell as manually editing GuildExterior and deleteing all Fable files/re-install but the chest is still there! Now it just makes the game halt, since the items which are supposed to be in it are obviously not in the game after a re-install of the game.

That's because the chest is stored in your savegame.

But does it halt when you open the chest, or when you enter the area?

Open the chest, since there are no items to be gotten from it, the cutscene never ends.

And I tried creating a new profile after the re-install, yet the chest was there...

Would the fact that I used the same name for the profile mess things up?

Don't know about the profile name, but I don't think that's the problem - as long as you don't use your old savegame.

As for the reinstall; did you check if any files were left behind in the 'program files\Fable\data\' folder after uninstall?

Cause changed files tend to be left behind when uninstalling.

Again: it must be either your savegame or the finalalbion.wad / guildexterior.tng - it can't be anything else...

Yup. Deleted the files aswell. And heck, I am even using the non-ripped FinalAlbion.wad and it is still there!



No trader to be found, yet the chest spawns-


The cutscene never ends, because nothing is to be found in the chest.

Well I must state again; then it's your save.

-> The mod adds the chest to either the FinalAlbion.wad (if you didn't use freeroam) or to the GuildExterior.tng (if you did use freeroam).

-> If saved after you've visited the area where the chest is, the chest is stored in the savegame.

Now these are the only 2 ways for the chest showing up.
If the files are replaced with new ones - that option is ruled out.

Leaves option 2.

Although I don't like saying it: that's all there's too it...

The wierd thing is that, as I said, it is a clean new re-install and profile. No freeroam or .fmp package installed... So in essence there just shouldn't be anyway the chest could be there. I must've messed up badly somewhere. Because the save is the Autosave you get after finishing your Guild Training, so I haven't visited the area yet.

But nontheless, I'm gonna try and steal the FinalAlbion from my Fable disc and see what happens.... nothing at all. Still there.
