I think they pretty much grabbed the hobbe idea. I think they are the more "funny" monster in the game.

WTF they are from the Fifth Element! I had to watch that film about 10 times in my class so i would know.

Sort of reminds me of a fat Dobby with the "discarded" piece of clothing.

Except for the nose of course.

Note how easy it is to come up with different creatures that look like it. I don't think it because of them being modeled after some other creature but rather that there are a lot of creatures that look like it.

It's very goblin like.
