In Fable, and other games, there are weapons made of obsidian (e.g. Obsidian Axe or Obsidian Cleaver in Fable). Obsidian is a real material such as iron.

I wasn't surprised at all. In fact, I'm surprised you're all surprised.

I guess it's because my favourite character in "Legend of Mana" was Elazul, the Lapis Lazuli Jumi... He used a sword made of Obsidian if I remember correctly.

If I can member correctly, Fable was the game that got me the knowledge of obsidian.

I think the whole point of the Obsidian weapons is that they have been tampered with a lot that they have become very powerful but also very delicate (?). Everything is explained in the Weapon Description.

Plus, Obsidian sounds so much cooler than Iron or Steel.
