So Sad!
I might have to move back with my dad! Well I have a choice one i go with my dad who has lots of cash and Iwould have a better education (more classes bigger budget) Although there would be hella more rules! On the ohter hand I can stay with my mother who is a nice lady and won't beat me with a 2 by 4 everytime I get mad! (it really doesn't hurt... lol) and she doesn't have too much money and can't be spending, and unfortunalty she was damned with a high mateniance child, me. And I can't decide what to do, as for friends I have like the entire skool as friends cuz there is only 48 of us... And there I have a friend and her baby, and her crazy boyfriend who wants me dead (my super nija skillz prevent that )... Idk wat to do, any suggestions?

Re: So Sad!
Take the money and run. If getting beat with a 2x4 means a good education and more money, I would take the 2x4 anyday.
It takes a simple, mathematical equation to work it all out:
Better education = Good College Oppurtunities = Good Job Oppurtunities = More Money = Material Happiness = All Around Happiness = Too Happy = "I'm so happy that I must be sad!" = Depression = Psychologist = Spending Money = Happiness = Good

Re: So Sad!
It's a hard predicament no question, but I think I would be agreeing with Brian. Education ftw. I go to a **** school now and none of my teachers really know what they're doing. My music teacher was going through it with me today. It's his first year of doing VCE Music and we were all thrown in the deep end because he doesn't know what hes doing. Our school hierarchy is the most dodgy thing (our old princible was a sexual harraser who favoured all the female teachers, some of whom are utterly incompitent) and there's heaps of discipline issues with the students. Consequently, I may not get into a good university because I wont have the education, therefor I'm not going to get a good job, etc.
But yeah, education above all else.

Re: So Sad!
Education is ridiculously important, of course, and I would wholly recommend taking such a great opportunity. As for being beaten, well if you do something that bad then perhaps it is best not to do it anymore?
It's tough having to choose but you must decide what is ultimately the best for you and not necessarily the best for everyone else - it's your future, not theirs, after all. Plus if your friends are real friends, you can stay in touch - no one can begrudge you wanting a better chance in life. And more rules is no bad thing either - discipline, a good education and opportunities to make something more of yourself are all worthwhile things.

Must be a hard decision to make, well if your dad beats you then stay with your mum.
Of course it's your choice!

Re: So Sad!
Go with your Dad. At 14 its time to get stronger and prepare to face the hardships that you will as an adult. While staying with your mom would be nice. Going with your dad will help you be the strong Man that you are destined to be.

Re: So Sad!
I don't know your dad personally, so I can't really say what you should do, except to follow your heart and hope it's right. Education is so important, maybe dad will send you, to a nice boarding school. Then you'd get the education. Your mom will always love you, no matter what you decide to do.
Maybe with a great education, you could help your mom out, later?

Re: So Sad!
I say go live with your dad. Since your mom doesn't earn very much and your'e a "high maintenance child" it would be better for her if you did. I presume you can still visit your mom.
Also, your mom is going to appreciate your education. If it's woth the 2x4, thats up to you...

Re: So Sad!
AK is right - young men need the influence of their father to learn how to become men in their own right. You have the privilege of being able to be with your father when a lot of young men grow up without the option - he'll be able to teach you things your mother is not equipped to do, even if it's to watch how he does certain things and resolve to never be the same with your own children/spouse.

Re: So Sad!
I doubt this is about which parent you prefer and it would be unfair if that was what was being asked of you in this instance. Neither does staying with one as opposed to the other indicate you love one more or less. Your mum probably knows she just can't offer you the kind of lifestyle your father can and although it might make her upset if you leave, she'll know you're doing it not out of preferring your dad over her but because you have to do what is best for you in the long term. And if you stay with her, your dad may be upset but will know that you aren't having favourites, you've just got friends and an established life where you are now and feel it's too much to give up right now.
