Stealing from KHG

It was mentioned in an old thread that you can steal stuff from KHG during the White Balverine Quest. It is interesting enough to post about it again I think, and to add another time you can do it.
During the Break the Siege Quest, as well as the White Balverine Quest, if you enter the quest area, Knothole Glade, during the day, shops will have stuff on their counters to steal. The chief and guards ignore you and let you steal all that is there.

yeah do you have that problem with the guards allways comming in on you? if you do I got a little trick; everytime a guard comes near the door get behind it, for some reason that bugs them out and they stop up and turn around.

The guards will ignore you? Don't you have to bribe them for that?

Thanks for rep. The guards will stand 10 feet away and not bother you. They will after you come back with the Balverine head, if it's still daytime. So, grab all you can before you leave to go after the Balverine.
