Alternate Usergroup Titles...

Hallo there!

So... I was looking at the current usergroups we have (admins, mods, supporters, members, etc etc) and it struck me... what if we have more... 'Fabley' usergroups... hmm? This would mean I could replace those generic 'member' graphics below your name with something more... 'Fabley'.

For instance - say we decided to go this new 'Fabley' usergroup scheme - this would be a general idea of what to expect:

Guests would become Apprentices
Members would become Heroes
Banned Members would become... uhhh...
Moderators / Super Moderators would become... well, no idea.
Administrators would be come Guild Masters

Something along those lines anyway. However, I would love to hear some better suggestions from you guys because I suck at this whole creativity lark... This also means I can implement a few other usergroup ideas that I've had cooking up...

Let me hear those ideas, folks! Green rep for those of you who contribute ideas and suggestions.

Supporters could be Devotees, either of Avo or Skorm
Super Moderators/Moderators could be Arena Champions
Banned Members could be Olympians... just because it would fill me with immense joy...
we could also use titles such as Bard for our pool of writers on the site, and Artisan for those who shower us with wallpapers and siggy's and the like...

Hexi, those are some great suggestions there; I would however probably prefer to leave 'Supporters' as they are as I can see some complications arising in the future if they were to be renamed to something a little less self-explanatory. However, fifty rep points is on its merry way to you.

that's ok... I kind of like the Supporter title... it makes me feel like part of some unholy mob waving pitchforks and and committing unspeakable evils on projectego.net's behest... mmm... unspeakable evils...

...well... Angel is an Admin and a Supporter... so couldn't you have 2 as well?

• Guests --->> Traders (Because they're forever wandering! )

• Banned Members --->>Nymphs? Forum Trolls? something of that liking maybe??

• Moderators / Super Moderators -->> Gaurds? or Prophet(s) mabye? Maybe the Oracle because those were meant to guard knowledge. Or something....o_O;; Iunno.

• Administrators -->> Guild Masters (I like it as is)

new members start as chicken chasers until if and when they opt to change it... to seem to lump new members in with banned members might come across a bit rude...

Looks like he changed them already. Awwww, and I liked me and hex's ideas. Which brings me to..why ask for suggestions if you're not going to wait for answers??

Banned members are still -->>
And we're still -->>

we're stuck as Supporters..

Banned --> banned no interesting title for this group
Moderators/Super moderator --> Guards or Red Guards

I would also like to see the titles come into play
1: Unsung 0-50 Posts

2: Recognized 51-250 posts

3: Familiar 250-1000 posts

4: Well Known 1000-2000 posts

5: Famous 2000-3000 posts

6: Very Famous 3000-4000 posts

7: Legendary 4000+ posts

Because I am interested in hearing your suggestions... hence the reason I have implemented the ones I like. Not only that, but I'm trying out the new rank images to see what everyone makes of them; they're not officially here forever just yet.

How can you insinuate that I don't listen to your suggestions when there's one right there? I think 'Guard' was a great idea, Sephi. I also took advantage of Hexi's bard suggestion earlier as well, I just haven't thought of a good way to use it yet...

Once again, I'm just trying the new system out; I still welcome suggestions and would happily replace any of the current ones if a better one is suggested. In fact, I really like AK's 'Villager' and 'Red Guard' suggestion too.

Edit: I really, really like the idea of a promotion system, and AK is definitely on the right track.
