free roam is really annoying

Sincei installed the freeroam patch, the three tims i have fired up fable, it wont le me play,
Why? is it cos i am loading a save?
is it cos i never installed it right?
is it somthing to do with the LEV's?
AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!
i just dont know...
has anybody else hade the same problem?

It sounds like you've extracted the files to the wrong directory, make sure your tng's/lev's are in this folder:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Fable - The Lost Chapters\data\Levels\FinalAlbion

I'm not at my computer right now but that should be right. The underlined part is the important bit, the part before is just your fable directory and may vary.

And it definately has nothing to do with your saves, you can load any save and play with freeroam.

I simply followed Albion Knight's FreeRoam Setup and had no problems.

It shouldn't matter where the extracted files are. FinalAlbion.Wad would still be there and his game would still work. He said "it won't let me play" which means their fable isn't working at ALL.

Yeah, you're supposed to change useWAdfile=TRUE to useWADfile=FALSE, or something to that effect in userst.ini in the fable directory. But I never did and it works fine for me, I just renamed FinalAlbion.wad

Ditto I never went in and changed that stuff, it just automatically worked as soon as I renamed Finalalbion.wad.

Same here, I just renamed mine to FinalAlbion2.wad and the game ran normally. Only with the modifications I made to chests, lol.

Extraction location has been the problem in every case so far so you're probably right on

is that the finalAlbion.wad or the folder cos there is a folder there...

There should be a folder there called FinalAlbion if you did the extraction right. There should also be a FinalAlbion.wad unless you moved it.

This is what it should look like:



Notice MY finalAlbion.wad is renamed

ok so i looked in there and i put my Finalalbion.wad back
