Aliens: Colonial Marines Shots Emerge

Gearbox Softwares new shooter in the classic Alien series has just had its first scans emerge (low quality as they are mag scans).

Now, we'll admit that the scans look so good that we wouldn't be surprised if they're actually cheeky renders. But if this is the art direction Gearbox is going for then we're happy regardless.

Take a look at the scans (from a US magazine we reckon), and keep 'em peeled for more official info on the game soon.

Info mostly comes out at night, mostly...

The story has been penned by "renowned writers" Bradley Thompson and David Weddle. The game will retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films.

There'll be a story driven single-player mode and a four player co-op mode. In this mode each player assumes the persona of a Colonial Marine and will have "a distinct role to play in the completion of every mission," says Sega. More multiplayer modes will be revealed later in the year.

No shots with the announcement, which we're getting tired of now. Especially as scans from a US mag hit the web earlier in the week. What would you rather look at readers? Grubby scans or lovely, official images? Thought so...
