Sorry for late reply but ALL BABIES ARE THE UGLIEST THINGS EVER!!!

Those four "things" that droded posted looked possessed and I cannot see anything cute about them at all. When my kid was born after 46 hours of agony, you'd think I'd be looking forward to that moment when you take a look at the baby and all the pain disappears in a wave of emotion. I said, "she looks like a troll", threw up and passed out for seven hours.

She looks ok now, but at the time she was yellowy orange with jaundice, had a big old head and looked permanently cross with the world. Which she gets from me, obviously.

If Steve and I have a baby, I might just ask him to do all the cooing and googly eyed stuff that parents do and I'll sleep for about a year until the kid looks vaguely like a human and less like a hideous genetic experiment...

And thanks to all well-wishers; my back is shot to hell, but as soon as I can get to a doctor who isn't obsessed with crap painkillers and giving me leaflets about sleeping with boards under my mattress, I might find out what's wrong with me...
