[Wolverine]

The night was dark. The moon was bright, leaving a dim light on the alley. A man was walking through the alleyway, half frightened, half anxious. He pulled out a dagger from his pocket, making sure no-one had followed. He then came up to a rusty blue door. He knocked 3 times. There was silence. The ddoor opened to reveal a man in a jacket of pitch black. On hist hand he a brass claws tied to his knuckles. He inspected the man. He looked around the alley.

"Were you followed?" The man asked.
"No. I made sure. Can I come in?" said the other.
"Your late." said the man in the door, as he issued him in.

The room was filled with bandits and thiefs. There was two lights, one in the middle of the room, the other hanging over a ragged thrown. In this thrown, sat an old man. Then the room went silent.

"People!" started the old man in the thrown. "We have been risking our lives, our familys, our way of life, for gold and riches!" The crowd cheered. "But there is a rumor. A rumor of an artifact so powerful, it can turn anything it touches into gold!" The crowd gasped. "The Hand of Midas!" The crowd cheered.

Suddenly there was a strange sound. "Go check that out!" said the old man, pointing to the man in the black jacket. The man went upstairs. He came back down the stairs with a tumble. He had a stab wound in his chest and was bleeding all over. Suddenly a man jumped from the stairs. He was dressed in a black cape and held two swords, one in each hand. He pounced, landing on a bandit with knifes in his hands.

"Stop him!" shouted the old man. Two men came two help the old man escape while the bandits attempted to kill this hooded figure. But he was too fast. He pounced, killing each one, one at a time. But the old man escaped. A lone bandit was crawling for the door. He turned to look the hooded man right in the face. He asked, "Who are you?"

The man smiled. He raised his sword, and said, "The Assassin of Shadows." and plunged his sword into the man. He left the stakeout and went in a search for the old man. But he could not find him. He had failed to kill him, once again.
