avoiding and fixing RRoD in time for FII

If you are not awaiting a new xbox (or fixed) from M$, skip ahead.
Getting your game on without paying for a new box
1. Buy a new xbox 360
2. Play on this system while keeping it in as fine condition as possible
3. Open an e-bay account or find a friend in need of a box
4. When you receive your old xbox, take the new one and sell it on ebay/ to your friend.
5. You have now spent about $60 and never stopped playing your xbox.
6. Pat yourself on the back

Avoiding the RRoD
There are manyfactors that affect the chance of getting RRoD.
Use
Do not do any of the following. downloading from XBL and playing/watching a game or video. use a coolant fan that attaches to the box (they cover the real fan and do more damage). Place the xbox in a case or attach non xbox certified skins. Play for more than 6 hours without stopping.
DO the following Set the xbox to shut down after 6 hours of non use. wait for items to load before doing something else.

Environment
Never place the xbox in a hot room. ALWAYS keep atleast 6 inches of space on all sides of the xbox. Do not place on carpet.

If you follow this advice, you can avoid the RRoD and enjoy fable II without worry of RRoD.
I know this isn't directly related to FII. I just want as many people to see this as possible. RRoD can really hurt

Or if your store has a replacement, bring it back and they replace it free.

No ones going to buy a second hand Xbox for the price of a new one.

They would buy it for a small difference. It is much better than waiting months.

Yeah, seriously. my friend somehow broke his xbox( but the way it broke wasnt covered by warranty) so he wrapped it in tinfoil, heated it up, it got the RRoD (on purpose) so he sent it in...

some people are so stupid.
