Re: Balverine hero mod ATTEMPT

why thank you

has anyone here ever really dealt with changing the models that creatures use?
i seem to be having some serious crashage with chaning the hero's model to the balverine and i'd rather not have to make it clothing

Not creatures, but I have meddled with weapons. Have you tried changing all the entries under the materials tab to the ones in the original model. You probably already know this but it's all I got, sorry.

Re: Balverine hero mod ATTEMPT

thanks

yeah weapons are really easy, never very picky

so what i mean is i am openeing the CREATURE_HERO and going to what id it refs for the mesh and changing that to the one i want, not changing the graphics entry. but for some reason it always crashes...

Ah, then I have no idea. Swapping Meshs that way always worked for me in the past, but I've only ever tried other humans. Tried removing bone configs?

Re: Balverine hero mod ATTEMPT

In the creature entry.
I just changed the mesh ID under graphic, which is what you're doing, right?
There are threads on the matter here, and bone config info is here.
Try with a hero mesh first which we know works.

Re: Balverine hero mod ATTEMPT

hrm well then, maybe it is some random error in the new fe or i broke my game.bin

haha! fixed, turned out i had inadvertently corrupted my hero entry so it would not accept anything else

i just restored backups changed it made an fmp then brought back the files i was working with before and overwrote the hero entry

Hmm...Wow. Nice job. Interesting subject, as well. Now that I think about it it seems sort of obvious that the hero should be able to become a Balvarine XD
