I have been gone too long it seems,
Too long not to notice the battling teams,
Which side is anyone on any more,
Each other all the bards abhor,
Much suffering, pain and defeat,
All to decide who is the bard elite,
But none can decide, none can decide,
None can live and abide,
While the battle rages on,
From late dusk to early dawn,
Perhaps what if we, the poets,
Were judged by those who know it,
How to rhyme and how to judge,
And how to find cake and fudge,
But to truly decide who is king,
A few to judge us seems a simple thing...

but listen to this
there are only two real ways to win
give up, and admit your fin
or win the popular ballet
so with your ryhmes you really have to sell it

To try to claim my hearty crown,
I am here, and here to stay,

Last time I faced a worthy might,
But this time 'round I'll bring the fight!

Though it is yet a cry I'll not heed,
