BARD time

i wanted to show off my poetry tell me if you like it...

The Hero and the Siren:

Hero brave and Hero strong, could not resist the sirens song, into her lair he went, while the sirens beast she sent. Sword high, low and all around swinging at the creature that he had just found. As he thrust his blade through its heart siren wept, for the Hero was only scarred. His hope could not be barred, his battle was hard, he wouldnt rest till he saw the siren charred!
he ran her through; she was slew.

Hate poem:

With eyes sewn shut they try to show me the way,
but all they show me is that they’re liars and fakes.
No matter how hard i try to forget what they said,
their words echo endlessly inside my head.
I won’t surrender to what they want me to be,
i won’t conform to be another in their corrupt fallacy.
There is a fire in me that only you can ignite,
to stop the pain and the hate that comes from their lies.
I’ve lost all sense of touch,i feel cold and distant,
it’s getting harder to fight the dark,i’m so strained from resisting.
I’ve stumbled through life with a false sense of direction,
because of their deceit which caused a fatal infection that has broken
my heart and stolen my vision.
I’m looking for that stranger inside of me,
the only person that i’ve ever wanted to be.
And as i stand here now with my heart laid bare for all to see,
the only left in my way is a reflection of me....


Bloodshot eyes: (more of a rant)

I hear the hate and the lies, yet no one can hear my cries past your thoughtless screaming. With bloodshot eyes I see your life, how your fate was balanced on the edge of a knife, but even though you were on a ledge; you took a pledge. To protect the weak and bring their abilities to there peak, and now your emotions leak. Bloodshot eyes show me you have created a pile of trash, filled with your old styles and scattered with ash and it all gets mashed.
You try and try but all you do is cry "Why oh why?" well i say "Hi I'll tell you why" cause you let yourself get raped by the world your life has been hurled, and with your back curled, the News controls your sight not allowing you to see the light, only showing you the dark well I say "Hark!!" the government hold's conspiracies, is anyone hearin me? start cheerin for me!
I diss this place we have become so primitive we forgot how to love, everyone just attacks, with a shove towns are ramsacked; we always want what we lack. I will rant until I pant, but I shant give up till theres peace, and these wars will cease, I see it all through Bloodshot eyes!

so i got any potential to be "... a better bard"?

Not bad! As a writer myself, I know it's not possible to always write about the good things in life. Sometimes you need to write about the less-than-pleasant things to make them seem beautiful. And that, my friend, you seem to do quite well. I especially like your imagery that you use when you describe things. To answer your question, I think you are a better bard... but prove it! Let's hear another!

I walk a barren earth
severed from time and space
I walk a lifeless earth
dead memories I embrace
I walk a silenced earth
no heartbeats but my own
I walk a mourning earth
reaping sorrows that I've sown
I walk a yearning earth
longing for days long dead
I walk a speechless earth
and hear my doom unsaid
I'll walk the shattered earth
for millennia, and alone
For I've walked the ravaged earth
The futile death I've known…



positive: (a little religious so be warned)

the sky is blue the world is nice
if you need help you can ask for advice
the sunset's red accross the sky
i rasie my head and look on high
i look for your face then im surrounded by grace
like a poetic dream its a beautiful thing
our world is a swing and you push it making us go round
on the touch of a sound erasing fear
and releasing our cheer...

Encore! Encore! I know a good poet when I see one. I for one, like the slightly religious sway on things. It's rather uplifting, really. The first poem reminds me of something I once wrote except one hundred times better. It flows very well. Keep writing!

Don't worry about it, man. Poets are not always known for their particular self-esteem, but I'm behind you all the way. I know what it's like to be a less-than noticed writer. It sucks, to say the least. Still, so this thread is more noticed, I should get one of the staff to move it into the Barrow Fields section...

wow i havent been on in a while LOL! sorry it took so long but i brought another hope you enjoy it =)

Theres a rift I wish we could time shift to a time and place where I could see your face, but I left that time with too much hast I wish the happiness would last the fun, the cheers, the hugs. But its to late I look back in despair wanting to make it right to have a second chance, I look for you but you arent there the matter is that I cannot accept that your up there. St.Peter: Your new leader. Ive been given the chance to close the rift and uplift the ones you love comfort them love them share them yet im paralised, is it the devil in disguise? im not sure but the way we were I wish we could have again. So this knife against my heart, the tool of my love I shall use it to propell me to you through the rift with sharp painful love...
