Battlefield: Bad Company

Just got Battlefield: Bad Company and I think its awesome possibly better then cod4 only thing is the sniping any of you gonna get it?

Played Demo and im going to get it but i would never say its better than COD 4. Its a nice change with the big levels, destruction and vehicles however.

I dunno i like the sniping in cod better but i like the ability to destroy buildings and the shotguns cause in cod its so unrealistic how the shotguns shoot like 2 feet only

The fact that you cant go prone in Bad Company was slightly disappointing and a key to being a sniper. The destruction is a good addition to the game obviously. Shotguns are inaccurate at range obviously but you can still take people out from a decent distance with them on COD 4 (the better shotguns anyway, not so much the first you get).

yeah i like the M1014 i got a golden one, took forever to get red tiger with W1200 but what i meant about the sniping in Battlefield is you have to lead your shots and even with the strongest sniper its not a one hit kill

Id prefer a one hit kill with a sniper i mean thats why people are snipers after all. They are meant to take people down in one shot and if they dont then they arent very good.

Annoyed me in COD 4 when people somehow survived a Barrett shot to the torso because they had the Juggernaut perk on. I mean this is a 50 cal Barratt to the torso it would probably blow them in half, they should be dead.

Hence why i play Hardcore mainly as i got tired of having to put half a clip into people before they died.

Yeah i dont understand why youd have a better chance getting a kill with the m40A3 then the barret when the barret has more power i usually play regular search and destroy though the R700 should be a beastly sniper but it has so many like shots where your aimer is right on the enemy but you shoot and it doesnt even touch em it ****es me off

I just got tired of either putting half a clip into someone for them to run up and knife me while i was reloading. Or hitting someone with 2 sniper shots for them to merely turn around and do a spray and pray at me with a full clip of a P90 and get lucky.

So back to the original point about BF BC, id rather that people died easier with sniper shots and dislike that you cant go prone. However that said i do like the game and will be buying it. Hope the conquest mode is released soon like they said it would be, as im not keen on Gold Rush.

I've been thinking about buying a copy of the Battlefield Bad Company Gold Edition for a few days now and I just don't know whether I love it or... not love it so much. I disliked the Bad Company demo the first time I played it but began to warm to it when I played it over Xbox Live with some mates. My cousin has the full version and I played it for a few hours when he slept over mine the other night but, after a few hours of play, I found that I really began to get frustrated with constantly getting owned by snipers and artillery spammers.

Plus, every other game seems to have a group of boosters just sitting in a corner on Oasis trying to take advantage of that upturned-humvee exploit / glitch whereby you can rack up tons of experience points as the Support class guy. Wish I hadn't explained it to my cousin coz he does it all the time now...

I think I might buy Bad Company when it comes down in price. I honestly couldn't justify spending £40 on it because I know I can't play it for more than an hour without needing a break. The huge maps make for a nice change from the tiny ones in Call of Duty 4, though. The Gold Edition comes with some really sexy extras though and I do like the shiny tin casing it comes in.

I haven't played it but there are LOTS of un-patched glitches which would do quite nicely for me

Shame really as it had a Beta test released that should have brought them to light in time for them to patch it.

Aww...but I like glitches that let you level up insanely fast...

Was very disappointed to learn that by the time I got into RSV2 they had already patched the enemy spawning glitch in Terrorist Hunt...so sad...
