It's more to do with the loading...it gives me the same cash I had in the save, but it's like starting a new game. No items or quests done...even the beginning video appears after loading.

Thats strange, maybe a corrupt file or something or device...?

I reinstalled the game and the latest nvidia driver, and the text problem is much better now. About the saving; I think I was a little mistakened >_>

The game is crashing a lot now...I can't find many threads about this topic though.

Sorry about bringing this post back from the dead but I didn't want to make a whole new thread to say what I discovered about this glitch...

I've found that whenever you start up the game if you mess with the resolution then apply it stops this glitch...

however when you return to windows (either by minimizing Fable or Quitting the game) the glitch resets and you have to do the resolution thing again.

Im not sure if this will work for everyone. My Vidcard is GeForce FX 5200 (for reference)

It may seem tedious to have to do it everytime but it beats looking at chopped up text all day...

Nice tip that id heard of afew times but not of many people trying it.

Hey, i dont know if you guys care or even read this forum any more...its been two months...but i just picked up the game and found the solution for the geforce fx problems.
You have to match up monitor refresh rate with the games refresh rate, thats it.

Match up monitor refresh rate with game refresh rate.

I remember reading a lot of articles saying it was all to do with the resolution capabilities of that card etc and the refresh rate so you are all on the right lines.

I've test that enough times to know matching up refresh rates didn't work, for me at least, I've been trying to fix this bug forever =P

On another note... just to mention that since I changed my resolution the first two times, I've never had to do it again... although I haven't started a NEW character yet with the problem "fixed" so that might be an issue...
