um which time are we talking about? 500 years ago or the old testament biblical times?

i doubt the life span way back in old testament biblical times was 20, the world would of been less populated, less pollution, organic food only, of course medicine was nowhere near advanced but if ur living healthier you might not get sick as often. So its completely possible that people lived to over 500 years old. anyway Noah from Noah's Ark lived to over 900

and in the present day there is a group of monks that, through meditation and healthy eating have been able to live to over 120 years, don't have much time right now, i'll find the name of them later if i can.

Re: Bowerstone split into 4 regions

Then would you like to show some proof that humans have lived that long?
Sure, all of their food was organic, and the world was much less populated, but there was also diseases that could kill in days, people killed each other just for the hell of it, they had less protection from wild animals which could kill them easily.
There was several other factors which reduced the lifespan of people during those times.

Also,

You want truth, ask a person who has studied the subject, not someone who bases their answer on organic food and the bible

hes a person and he lived on earth...
its like having someone refer to me as religion if I started my own even though I LIVED ON EARTH ONCE AND REACHED THIS AGE doesn't matter of your religion you can't deny the past cause scientists have proven that there was a person named Jesus of Nazareth that got crucified and a person named Noah that survived massive flooding and lived to be over 900 years old. =P=P=P

Re: Bowerstone split into 4 regions

i dont see how you can truly believe someone lived to be 500 years old... that doesnt even make sense... no living thing other than like trees live that long... plenty of people singce biblical times have eaten just organic food and not had any pollution and noone lived that long... maybe 100 but not 500 or 900...

anyways thats besides the point... i highly douibt lady grey will still be alive... a memorial or relatives sounds the most likely... though it doesnt seem likely that peopl would just let a giant mansion go ununsed...

edit: of course someone was named jesus... there are people named jesus now... i dont think anyone denies the existence of jesus just denies he was the son of god... but as far as i know there is no way that they could use carbon dating to tell how long a person lived for just how long it has been since they died... if you would like to show some of these "scientists" proof that would be nice...

I never said Jesus did not exist, I believe that he did exist, he just was not the son of a higher power, and he had no power.
Whether you like it or not, I don't believe in a higher power

hey its logic, healthier lifestyles would mean longer lives, also disease would be around but its gonna be alot harder to catch an infection when the world is cleaner, of course people would die from disease but that's nature.

maybe we can't prove that people lived for this long but i'd like to see you prove that they didn't. also people kill each other, and people get attacked by wild animals but that doesnt mean they couldn't have lived to 500 years if they were to die of natural causes. Sure lots of peopl would have died from unnatural causes but its not like 1 in 2 people did or anything. Animals have a tendancy only to kill when they need food. Things like territorial fights are rarely fatal. People on the battlefield would have gotten disease from wounds and stuff but remember not everyone was a warrior, there would have been merchants and prophets and doctors, all sorts of occupations. Like Noah i think he was a pacisifist, he could have lived to 900 if he never exposed himself to unnessesary danger.

Its not just the bible, books such as the koran, the torah etc have indications of long life. Yes this may be religion and there are alot of mistruths in religion but they aren't gonna say he lived to 900 if he only live to 30 thats a stupid thing to say. there would have to be an element of truth in the writings somewhere.

If you want to believe that they lived 500-900 years, or even 5,000 years, that's fine by me, as long as you don't claim it as fact.
I am an atheist and I believe in science, science is fact.

Re: Bowerstone split into 4 regions

i think that its possible that since the overall life span was much smaller back then that when someone lived to an old age such as 70 or 80 they could exaggerate it... i mean if you seriaoulsy believe that someone could live to be 900 years... there wouldnt be that huge of a difference in life span from then to now... especially with the andvances in medicine... you should go play assassins creed and see what it says about all religion... well christianity mainly but all religion really

Re: Bowerstone split into 4 regions

yeah im not gonna try to convince you that people could have lived to 900 years anymore. your right in that average lifespan wouldn't vary between hundreds of years in a period of about 3000-5000 years, im just saying that average lifespans aren't continuosly increasing they have declines so it is possible that there was a high life expectancy (like around 100 maybe even 200) 5000 years ago. Life would have been alot more "clean" then there would of been a decline in most areas during the past 3000 years, especially during the middle ages up until the early 20th century.

I have been brought up spiritually and not religiously, but i have been exposed to alot of religions and their concepts. i accept that there could be a creative intelligence or higherpower and that religious scripts are NOT fact. The exaggeration on age is probably correct and in place to give the characters of the stories a heroic, legendary status.

It would be ok if it is lady grey from the original though because Albion is a fantasy world and anything should be possible, at least almost anything. But i reckon that it will be a descendant of lady grey, or it could be cool if lady grey's sister had an illigitimate child before she died and the noble line of Grey was continued hehe.

Re: Bowerstone split into 4 regions

To bring some science into the discussion, and try to end the off-topicness:

When inhaling oxygen, your lungs make it react with iron in your bloodstream, so the iron carries the oxygen to your muscles / organs / cells. But what happens when iron and oxygen react? - it oxides. Your organs, cells and everything else is slowly rusting away, like a car standing in the rain for too long. Sure, re-growth, but in time your bone-marrow (right spelling?) also oxides away, and bone-marrow cant be replaced by your body... and the bone-marrow makes new bloodcells, that carry oxygen, if you didnt know that.

If someone would only take 1 breath every 60 seconds, that person could very well live to the age of 200 years, according to some scientists. But taking 1 breath per minute kinda sucks and I dont think anyone is willing to live their whole life like that. (And bytheway, I think you would need to be put in a stasis or something, but thats not important).

On-topic:

This tells us quite a bit about how big albion will be. If we can multiply every zone's size with 4... ! That is impressing even for a new-generation console, methinks...
