Loved Wacky Races and then Dastardly and Mutley...I know this is the token nonsense that all people say as they get older, but I swear they don't make TV like they used to...these days it's all "ooh, don't offend the homosexuals/women/disabled/ethnic minorities/sandgeese etc" when the majority of the time these so-called minority groups have no issue with any of it. Take Postman Pat for example - little northern village in the Yorkshire Dales, so naturally all-white. Nothing personal, but it's a fact - all ethnic minorities instantly gravitate towards the bigger towns like Dewsbury and Bradford because of the work etc. But no, the bigwigs in telly land get all weird and say"quick, stick in an Indian family so people don't think we're stereotyping in any way"
And what is the occupation of this Indian family? Corner shop keepers. Now if that isn't a stereotype, I don't know what is...
And don't even get me started on the stupid Womble bimbo they put in...Madame Cholet I can deal with, but something resembling baby spice, I cannot...
