Can you change your age on your live account?

Ok, so I was an idiot when I got live about 2 months ago and put my real age which is 16. I can't download any of the mature content! Ex. Resident Evil 5, Fable II videos, or even the Halo 3 map packs!

Is there anyway to change this without waiting half a year without my birthday?! It is very annoying.

(I'm new to the forums, so I don't know how much people are by the book, so I thought I'd just let yall know my mom doesn't care about me playing M rated stuff.)

Wow gutted! You'd have to change your email address i think.. and make it 18+ .. I think?

The live account is registered under my mom's email address I think though, and the credit card for buying MP and the works is hers..You think they could notice that? lol

I have tried everything. The family settings are set to whatever. I would think that if that is set I should be able to download anything as well. I'm running out of stuff...Great ole' Microsoft.

Or is it my fault for telling the truth? Damn wanting a Halo

I should have opted for the horns and had more fun...lol

Haha! Yeah i went and cheated a little bit by 1 year.. so i could download other stuff.. and not have to do that family thing

Hmm ok..I just went to Windows Live ID and apparently it is under my email. So if I make a new email and use that, that should work? Maybe..

Hmm ok. I changed it, but I haven't set the age on it. Do you know how I would do that from the 360?

hmmmm. i dont know. that problem never happened to me, since i am 18 (and was when i got live.) i will take a look and tell you if i find anything.

Alright thanks man. I'm trying to figure out how to set the age. I changed the email like I said. I saw "Age not set" on it. but there was no way for me to officially set it.

What a bunch of crap, you should be able to download anything you want to if the family settings are set to whatever...blast Microsoft

Agreed man. What's the point of Family Settings if they have no purpose...If I have the game in my xbox I should be able to download stuff for it.

I just hope the Fable II co-op is an update thing instead of a download

I was thinking this myself actually when i set my cousins up as i had to set my account as his parents account (as his parents dont have email addresses). I can understand why the restrictions are there but thought it was possible to download any content so long as the parent account password is used.

That's what I figured too. That's not really the case though with it. I like I said I changed the email address but I'm not sure how to set the age for it.
