Clarify this for me..i think i underestimated NPCs

okay so i made a new character and quickly maxed him out, and he is now age 65 with perfect stats without starting the main quest (yes those poor villagers have been under attack at the picnic area for about 45 years

) so anyway my guys pure evil...but insanely rich so i decided i was tired of having people run from my gigantic awesom horns for a while and i did the glitch at the temple of avo

(the one where you donate all your money then immediately donate zero gold so you get the good points but the code to deduct all your money initially is canceled out and you're left with a full wallet and butt load of good points...donating 30K gold like this about 4 times can make a fully evil character have a halo

and i repeated the glitch until my horns were all gone and i had a small halo. i started wearing the most attractive clothing possible and people STILL run from me. is it possible that you can be a well known murderer? because i always thought that it merely depended on appearance. (scary clothing, horns, etc)

Did you perhaps perform any evil activities in their presence? I am not sure, but I do belive they are clever enough to remember your face, horned or not, if you killed someone in their field of view..

I could be wrong though, and it is a glitch...

Interestingly enough, villagers will remember your deeds for a little while.When I went evil and killed all of the merchants that I saw, They all ran away. Then, once I maxxed out my character, I didn't really need to kill them anymore for evil points. Slowly, they began to like me. Coincidentally, my scariness was at -100 and my attractiveness was at 100. Scariness and ugliness may make them run away even if you are pure good.

my guy was fully good when i wen on a gaurd killing spree in everytown. up till now they've all forgiven me except for snow spire. its been 30 years!

The morons of Bowerstone South will never get over my evilness - even though the worst thing I've done is nick a couple of shirts and punch a kid in the face. I've done far worse things in other towns. Mind you, I've completed the game and they're still trying to tell me the Archaeologist has been imprisoned and my triumph in the arena was brutal....

I've encountered this problem on one of my profiles. I was evil in the very beginning, killing people, etc. until I became good for awhile, but realized something was missing after I got a wife and settled down (the heck with that!) and became evil once more. The final change was when I became good to stay, and though I have a halo and all, eveyone's opinion of me is different! In Snowspire, I'm known as the psychopath who killed his wife, if Hook Coast I'm adored, In Bowerstone I'm utterly despised by all, in Oakvale, they crap theirselves every time I'm around, and everywhere else it's just kind of fluctuating. Bizzare...

I've noticed that if you own places they love you more.
I masacred the CRAP out of bowerstone, bought everything, left, came back (after some time, to get my fine down) Payed the rest of it off, and suddenly hearts are sprouting above everyones heads (I have horns and I'm pure evil) yet they still love me..crazies..

Wait a minute- You massacred Bowerstone?!!! Maybe it's something with the PC version, but aren't the npcs in Bowerstone invincible because of the whole fricking "no weapons" deal? Just asking.

They are. But there's a mod that you can download so you can use weapons and it makes the little childrens Mortal

they're the ones who own all the houses damnit..they live in them by themselves. It's so weird...
No magic using though..

anyway of course they're gona run from u.

it happened to me once on my fully good character, he was completely broke as it was my first file and i was new to the game, and i pressed F3 in a shop which shortcuts steal by accident, and i didnt have enough money to pay for it so i just ran out and (accidently) did enflame....

don't ask how u can accidentally do enflame

I've accidentally done enflame its not hard. Especially if it is in a quickly key slot. I meant to cast heal or something like that.
