The Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack has become the most downloaded paid-for content on Xbox Live.

More than one million downloads were registered in the first nine days the pack was on sale. The full game has been purchased by nine million people and Xbox Live users have taken part in more than 30 million online sessions, racking up more than 30 million hours of gameplay.

Whoa! That's insane! Hopefully the great success that Call of Duty 4's Variety Map Pack enjoyed will mean that the next map pack will be released even sooner. Shame Halo 3 hasn't had as much luck with its Legendary Map Pack, I was tempted to download that today but hardly anyone on my Friends List has it.

On a sidenote: I've started to really enjoy playing on Creek - it's now one of my favourite maps! After Broadcast, of course!

Still, three cheers for Infinity Ward!

Yeah very impressive statistic ontop of their already impressive records. Also cant wait to see what more content they will be bringing to this, im preoccupied with other games to play it at the moment but i always know i will go back to it when im bored of the others.

once again CoD kills Halo. this time in maps...it saddens me...but im still a fan of Halo, and personally i rather play Halo than Cod...

Not enough strategy involved in Halo for me and ive always been a big COD fan over the years.

Awesome! CoD owns... only need like 20 or 30 bucks til I can get my years supply of Xbox Live... Got $110 right now, but I gotta buy GTA4...

Yeah i noticed like EVERYONE had the CoD4 maps.. I compared to how many people had them compared to Halo 3 Users get the their maps. No one had them
