They put it in for flourishes like a lesser state of what i just talked about. When your doing the fist fighters thing and you get enough multiplier the flourish is the spin kick that knocks them over. Or the spin move with your sword. or the jump slash.

No i dont like flourishes. Dont do much damage and they always knock down. They suck.
