Perhaps we should offer some sort of reward for our 1,000th member? Maybe something along the lines of a free Silver Supporter subscription?

The 1000th member should get something random. Be it rep or something else. AS LONG as they stay active.

Not to sound mean or anything but why should they get anything just for being the 1000th member? What makes them different from the 98th or 539th or even the 666th(

) member? Maybe they should just get a nice PM from all the staff saying "Hey your the 1000th member, congratulations hope you stay active. Bye." You should throw a big E(or X, depending on where you are from...)Party and maybe pop some champagne. Eh, nevermind, I don't care do whatever the hell you want.

Well I guess that's for the webmaster/moderators to decide now isn't it? If they want to give the 1000th member something then that's up to them.

I think they should get something.

Absolutely nothing, really. However, it's not because I believe that he 1,000th member deserves special treatment or anything that I was considering giving away a free Silver Subscription package. Oh no. The idea was meant as more of a gimmick than anything. A gimmick aimed at encouraging the registrar in question to possibly stick around.

It isn't essential to offer our 1,000th member anything special, or even anything at all, but it wouldn't hurt. It's still worth considering, however I wouldn't be offended if everyone thought otherwise.

That actually made me chuckle - kinda reminded me of a PM conversation I was just involved in...

Oh right, yes, ahem. There's nothing wrong with a congratulatory PM at all. I had considered it myself, but I wouldn't mind if we could some how make it a bit more substantial. PM's are lovely and all, but we could do with something with a wee bit more... 'pizazz' for our first 1,000th member milestone.

Yeah i agree fully as its a milestone for us! Its a great result for the site and shows our good natured side off to a new member at the same time

You can either click on the "members" link at the top of the forum or look at the bottom number on the main forum page.
