CHAPTER 2
the place he was teleported to was beutiful,the rugs were finely woven,the stone was smooth,and yet,felt..warm,like a summers breeze,he saw a bald elderly man standing near a giant table with albions landscape on it,it was highly detailed,magic made the water move,and the trees blow,the elderly man asked "how old are you?" the boy replied,"10...who..who are you?"The Elderly man replied:"why,i'm the guildmaster,the man who saved you,is Maze..you don't look like much to me,but maze knows what he's doing,i suppose.follow me up to your dormitory,you'll be up there with one of our brightest students,she's in the kitchen helping with the cleaning,so you'll meet up tommorow.get lot's of rest,you'll need it."he laid on his bed,and cried for 20 straight minutes,flashes of Isabella ran through his head,remembering what she did for him.he finally cried himself to sleep...the nightmare was horrible,tristed figures of burning carcasses ravaged his mind,and Isabellas torn figure burned into his brain..he was woken up by Whisper,she exclaimed "wake up!you're an hour late for combat training!come on,we don't have all day." he ran down the stairs to the map room,but the guildmaster already left for the ring.they ran to the combat ring as fast as they could,the guild master said:"well,it took you long enough,let's get started then.the GuilMaster gave him a sturdy wooden stick,and told him to try it out on the dummy,he gave whisper a long metal staff,and told her to practice.for hours they practiced,techniques,blow s,rolling,until lthe guild alarm rang,some beetles were attack picnic folk in the woods,he told Bastiat to go get rid of them,re-assuring him with the promise of a reward,this made interest flicker within him,immediatly running to the beetles.
one flew straight at him,it was bigger than his head!he rolled out of the way,grabbed it's wings,and tore them off,finished it with a stamp on the face,he wacked 2 more with the stick,cracking their shells open,killing 2 more by hittign their wings,and kicking them into the river,where they drowned,a giant red one came out,aparrently the queen,she dove at Bastiat,he rolled out of the way,it's tusks were jammed into the ground!He took advantage of this and hit the underbelly with all his might,making green goop spray everywhere.he came back to the GuildMaster,after he saw how Bastiat did,he rewarded hm with 100 gold,Bastiat liked this kinda reward.Money for Combat?That's a fair trade.he told Bastiat Whisper had already gone to bed,he said "you can stay up as long as you like,just remember you have to get up at 6:00 am every day.Bastiat washed his clothes in the river,and went to bed.
