Lewis wrote that we can be deceived only if a proposition has affinities to reality, adding that we cannot be deceived unless someone convinces us that he or she is being honest.
A good case can be made for thinking that there have been enough books written already about angels and demons. We would refuse to add to the pile except for one thing: so much of what has been written is nonsense.
That may sound intolerant or ungracious, but putting it any milder would obscure the point.
What a sickening tragedy this is! What a heartless, hateful, and unscriptural thing to do, preaching at those suffering deeply, "It's all your fault!" or "Just trust God and all your suffering will disappear."
