Cursed By Darkness
Decided to rumage through some of the writing I've done to see if anything was appropriate for this section of the forum. I found this, written only about a month ago.
Cast your eyes up at the dark sky
At this very moment you are not alone
I hide in the shadows beside you
Waiting to make my deadly move
The clouds make way for the moon
It's light dilutes the shadow of mine
You turn and meet my bitter face
I laugh as you dissolve into dust
Another star in the sky disappears
One more life feeds my loneliness
Pain and suffering is a part of me
A cursed monster, no kind of man
My life was once not this way
The past was a perfect scenery
A beautiful tale of love and hope
Enriched with a happy family
Now my days are spent alone
Hiding from the light of the sun
Eagerly awaiting the darkness
Waving goodbye to humanity
The world no longer has room
For a creature so vile and cruel
To put an end to this myth
I must sacrifice my own life
A blade of untouched silver
Caressed by the virgin
Enveloped in innocence
Will remove me from this Earth
On this very night
The tear from an angel
Soothes the silver blade
Giving strength in time
To the one who holds the hilt
Ready to slay me
The dear love of my life
The wife who touched me
Grasps the blade firm
Thrusts it into my essence
My heart now gone
You may sleep easy tonight
