Darkness sequel in the works

Ive been awaiting this news since i played the first, and im guessing Tsuyu will be happy about this too. It deserved to be much more than a 'moderate' hit and Starbreeze Studios deserve a lot of credit for what they accomplished with this game, much like their other under received title Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. I really hope that they do create the sequel as im not sure if anyone else could pull the game off with such class.

The Darkness was a moderate hit last year, coming out in the void just before BioShock. At least two members of the CVG team completed it, instead of throwing it away after a couple of levels. In some circles, that says more than a 10/10 from Edge.

It's currently unclear whether the sequel is being handled by original developer Starbreeze Studios. Last we heard, it was working on a mystery title known as Project RedLime (rumours suggested it was System Shock 3).

Cool! The Darkness was one of the best looking games I saw on the Xbox 360, when it was first released. Hope The Darkness 2 features better online multiplayer than the first one, though. I heard that multiplayer was one of the original Darkness' main weaknesses.

I never tried the Multiplayer and didnt even care that it was there, the single player was amazing and the story was superb. Also has some of the most emotion rendering sequences ive seen in a game and some of the best and most memorable moments too. Criminally underrated and under received but highly rated and rightfully so. They just put the multiplayer in there because apparently 'no game these days can be without it'... well the multiplayer might have been a good idea but when done in this way just leave it out, as it dampened peoples opinions and multiplayer wasnt needed at all.
