There were alot more "keys" which might be older, one in particular unlocking a cool "Men in Black" suit.

Yeah, like a couple of new weapons wouldn't hurt.... but then again it might be hard to figure out what to add, since you can already use almost everything in the mall already!

Im sure some more new content will be released if Dead Rising 2 is quite far away, but as no word has been said about it who knows.

With the way Dead Rising ended, they simply have to make a sequel - it just wouldn't be fair otherwise.

Thats true, however after announcing a game is in development people get impatient and start asking for release dates and rough ideas of when it will be finished which puts pressure on the makers. Usually ends up with the big shots pushing the games production forward and rushing the developers into releasing their production sometimes letting unfinished products make it to the shelves because they want to rush them out before hype fades.

Indeed. Although I'm more curious as to what Dead Rising 2 will be about than whether or not it'll be made :-P

There's a number of interesting questions to be answered, like will there ever be the fabled "Co-Op Update" (If that hasn't already been squashed, considering) or will it be saved for the sequal if at all? That's something to chew on, I suppose. That, and what route would they go with it? Just have two (or more, depending) Franks running around or

will player two actually be one of the other characters? I assume it'd just be Frank And His Buddy Frank And Possibly Also Frank And Frank for a myriad of reasons: One, the only other major character aside from Frank and Otis that survives the main plot is Isabella, unless they decide to throw the continuity out the window :-P Technically she can't be in the Security Room until later in the story, BUT both Brad and Jessie get zombiefied. And the only other photographer (I THINK. I don't quite recall all of the survivors right now) is psychotic and an optional boss fight, so he's out. :-P

The problem with making another character co-opable, though, is that you'd want to keep all the customization options. SO they'd have to suddenly have most of Frank's animations (If they don't all use the same already) as well as the ability to change outfits. And the problem with outfit changing is that characters with a different body shape would have to fit the costumes completely differently. Brad or another male character wouldn't have as much of a problem, I think, but a female character would absolutely require a different look for many of the outfits :-P Just having Frank in co-op would be fine, it's just duplicate co-op characters are a pet peeve of mine. "Hi, I'm the Master Chief, and this is my Evil Twin."

Well, co-op doesn't have to be story mode, maybe it would be like Infinite mode and there they throw the story out of the window - hell, the first dude you kill is Otis!

There I'd see no problem with the other player being Isabella.

But I don't think we'd get this, because as you say, giving her all the funky moves (like Disembowel and Jump Kick) and the ability to change clothes would just be ... too much work... I fear.

As for the story in Dead Rising 2, it is pretty much given already:

Carlito knew that the process of becoming a zombie could be stopped or suspended an he infected 50 orphans with it and made the process halt. Now the children have been adopted all over the U.S - like zombie time bobms!

So either we will get a new location, or it will span out over alot of locations.

I think after they first spoke about a co-op mode and gauged the reaction of the fans that they would have set it in their mind to include one at some point. They know it would be a popular feature and if done right could make a great Xbox Live addition too.
