I honestly think that sony is a good company and they've really published alot of good games but I have to say that their entry in the next-gen race isn't looking so hot. I'm no fanboy, I carry no real favorites but in all truth this race looks as if the 360 and Wii are some wicked derby runners while PS3 is a craped-out oldsmobile.

People are starting to call it just that. I don't see how they're going to recover now. Remember next gen games take a long time to make and the whole while Sony will be loosing ground. There only hope is the PS2 fans being loyal to the platform and not the games. Judging by the drop from the N64 to the Gamecube for Nintendo I don't see it happening.

Like I said before, they are still the leading game platform if you think about PS2 sales as well as PS3. They are clearly not fairing well in the next gen arena. If they put together an upgrade program instead of a price drop. I bet they would come storming back. The need the titles.

What titles would all of you buy a PS3 for?
Kingdom Hearts 3 as Seph mentioned? What else?

Not Sony as a company im 'bashing' personally but their methods, choices, business decisions and tactics have been sales suicide and they are just now starting to feel the effects of that with PS3 sales being so low and loads of companies jumping ship as they know they will sell more games elsewhere. Sony are playing with fire and are looking like they are going to be burnt to a crisp then for some reason they tell the eager European fans that they are going to give us a weaker console for higher price even though all consoles here were pre-ordered or sold until they said that, then people cancelled pre-orders and tried to import them then Sony threatened legal action and now people just dont care about PS3 because Sony have messed us around way to much.

I know. It's the people that run the company's fault not the console. It shouldn't be punished because it's master's are stupid. But it is.

Because people are a bit hesitant to hand their cash over for the consoles knowing its going to line the pockets of those 'Stupid Masters' who are ripping us off with over priced restricted hardware.

I was thinking what if they offered a trade up program from PS2 instead of a price drop. If they announced it ahead of time people who wanted a PS3 down the road could get a PS2 now and wait instead of a Wii or 360

They need to somehow leverage the huge PS2 base in their favor I think.

Dont turn the good news thread into console war thread. Sony are loosing for now. If everyone has a hdtv and wants b-dvd and games become 30 GB in the near future sony can win and sale more consoles. This sounds like a miracle. Sony still has namco, square enix and konami. But we cant say for sure who will sale more hardware.

Just take a second to ask yourself if you were going to make a game for a system with 6 million+ base or a system with under a million base which you would choose.

Nothings over Sony still has plenty of tricks up it's sleeve. I expect that they will be pulling out some of them in the next month.

I said in January that the next six months would be critical for the next gen "Console War" Microsoft has done very very well the Wii is doing great but a lot of "Next Gen" games aren't going to be on it. perhaps it's just a different market. Family gaming instead of hardcore gaming.

theyve lost square enix esclusivity already, i think i saw that they have 3 FF titles planned for the Wii that take place in the crystal chronicles universe

That doesn't mean they lost them. Ttere are other titles besides The fF series that Square enix works on. Like Kingdomhearts.

and if the 360 tries to steal that game. I'll beat them up.

Kingdomhearts has been on sony since the beginning. to me it would just FEEL wrong to have it on some other console.
