The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
As it does every year, without fail or regret, the greatest downfall of the "Great North", the Great Cold of the Kanadia winterland. I already feel it coming, it's cold grasp is again approaching, and the days are getting shorter and colder day by day. But would Canada be Canada without our horrible winters? Probably not, but oh well, I have my 360 and my computer and it's very slow internet. How many of you guys live in Kanadia, not very many I can guess, or more close to none. But I do prefer cold to heat. But that is natural as a Canadian. Oh well, time to get settled in for the very long winter that approaches with it's cold, cold unescapable grasp...

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
I live in Ohio, so I am just across the lake from Canada
Last year (I think, may have been the year before) the temp got down to -20... That sucked, it had to be much worse in Canada though.

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
Celsius or Fahrenheit? If that is Celsius, then yeah, Calgary had a lot worse. Tipping toward the -50 with wind chill. About -40 without.

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
I forget that some people use Celsius, I meant -20 Fahrenheit
I guess I can't complain with that though, it was around 20 degrees colder there if you're right.

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
That is about -29 Celsius. Pretty cold! Man winters are long here... I remember when I went to school in my hoody when it was -30 out. Not a smart decision on my part!

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
I bet we`re going to have a one-week winter again - that means rain and slush for the most part, but -30 C for a few days. Oh and no snow. This kind of winter sucks.

I hate summer with as much passion as humanly possible. The quicker winter comes, the better.

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
Winter FTW - I love the cold weather and I hate it when it's hot. My view is simple: The cold doesn't give you skin cancer within twenty minutes of stepping outside; there's only so many clothes you can take off to cool down before being arrested whereas no one locks you up for adding an extra pair of gloves; you can look pasty white in winter and no one gives a damn whereas in summer people throw things at you for your lack of tan (and melanoma, it would seem).
Bring on the snow, ice and other cold-related things

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
Maybe it's the cold blood of the vikings running through my veins, but I LOVE winter, complete with the snow and the cold. Summer I can't stand with all the damn heat though, so right on, Angel.
There might be some viking in you!

Re: The Dreaded Cold Approaches...
Living in the Northeast corner of the U.S. was no picnic I can tell you... I studied in Canada for a year and was slapped in the face with -50c temps in February, just awful. But now, living in Los Angeles, I'm experiencing this novelty of 80 degrees F in October... I will miss the seasons though...
