July 13, 2009 - Supposedly leaked photos of Eidos' attempt at rebooting the Tomb Raider franchise were leaked on the internet over the weekend.

We'd love to post the fancy spy photos 4playercoop's mole shot, but then we'd have to deal with the legal system, as many websites have already received letters from attorneys asking for their removal.

Though if you felt so inclined, the photos are still out there, and can be found with a quick Google search.

New gameplay information was revealed as well. The game will feature an "open world" environment with a revamped combat system. There were also new enemies shown, which looked like something out of EA's Dead Space.

Remember, though, just because these photos were taken down doesn't necessarily mean they are real or that the series is going in this direction.

I expect we'll hear more news about this project shortly.

Tomb raider is a dead series, its rubbish it should be put down like a rabid dog it is, unless you like seeing pixellised ass on a console... in my opinion people dont take it seriosly

I don't think it's a bad game. Obviously, someone is buying enough of the Tomb Raider series to keep it alive.

Well, I thought Tomb Raider was awesome, and so did a lot of hardcore gamers. You wont find many thirteen year old kids saying the same because their generation are just a load of Wii bowling asstards.

I even thought the films were moderatly O.K, would of been better if Angelina Jolie's body matched that of the videogames Lara Croft. High five to the guy who finds a woman who has.
