Escort Annoying trader to Oakvale/ Easy Renown

That may have been said before a long time ago but I have a really quick way to get the reward from that annoying trader that want to be escorted to Orchard Farm.

Agree to help him
Get him to follow you
Kill him right there and then
Grab the rest of the reward and the gem

you don't get the renown reward but you can do that this way

Get married +1000 renown
Kill wife +20 renown
(make sure no one see you so that you can repeat without fuss)
Repeat

I was able to become Legendary before my second quest.

Note you a little bit of renown to be attractive enough to get married the first time hence why I needed to finish the Wasp Queen quest.

Both of these are of course EVIL

Wait, theres only one trader who wants to be escorted and he wants to be taken to Orchid Farm. Are you talking about the one in Lookout Point? Or the two traders that need to be taken through Darkwood?

Yea me too. I don't remember any trader wanting to go to Oakvale, only the one at lookout point that wanted to go to Orchard farm.
But then again barrow fields is close to Oakvale.

I don't think so, if you kill them you fail the quest and have to reload, it must be the Lookout Point guy, he respawns when you kill him, so you could just keep killing him for the money (and gem). And when you're sick of him, just do the quest, no need to go through greatwood lake either, even with the barricade up.

You can sacrifice the balverine infected trader and another trader, you don't fail as long as you get one of them there.

I don't usually sacrifice them so I don't know. I make a lot of boasts when I play so I need to keep all my followers intact. I've seen my friend do it, but I wasn't paying much attention. Sorrys. I wish I could tell ya.

Yea I meant the one who wants to go to Orchard farm I think there are three of them each with a better gem than the last.

You can still kill the trader once you have taken him to Orchard Farm, thus getting the renown, the rest of your reward and the gem.
I normally use a bow as he does move quite fast. Once dead you can stroll over and pick up another gem, or money..it it random what they drop.

That's true but it takes longer and he sometimes gets away

Yeah I did that once too, it annoyed me that the guy ran and dissapeared after entering the cottage, so I reloaded, escorted him, then using slow time ran to the door and blocked his path, it was pretty funny he just stood there as I taunted him with various uncivil expressions. I then casually killed him and picked up the gem, but because I was good I reloaded and did the right thing.

I use that idea a lot with the stupid Orchard Farm guy - I used to be nice and try to help, but then he started cussing me for not looking after him properly so I shot him in the face with an arrow and took his money. Now I do that every time...
