This is the pilot for the Inside Lionhead Video Diaries, made in September 2006. It was originally meant as a proof of concept and never meant for public consumption but three years after the facts, it gives a nice look into how the diaries came to be. You'll find out if Peter Molyneux likes peanuts or not and you'll see Dene Carter has his original (and beautiful) self... You can watch the pilot episode over on Youtube.

Also, are you on Facebook? Are you a fan of Lionhead Studios? Then go here, and become a fan!

This is the original Inside Lionhead pilot - it was made in 2006 as a "proof of concept" to the senior people at Lionhead Studios and Microsoft Xbox. Three years later, I think there's no problem with putting this out in the public domain, but if anyone has a problem with that feel free to drop me a message

Hello everyone. I am Fabrizio, an italian boy. I possess the ORIGINAL Limited Edition of Fable 2, that include a special box, a hobbe figure and 5 Fate Cards. This item is very rare, because this edition should have been the Limited Edition for everyone who bought it, but then this Edition was removed from the market and only a few copies of it was commercialized. I sell it...if someone is interested, let me know! ;)

These are some photos of my LE:

I'm sorry, I'm a *newb* yes, but I have read the *newb* threads, and I did search but nothing told me exactly what I needed and wanted to know, so how do I take a decent shot of my Fable 2 character? I have an HD screen that used to be my sister's PC monitor, so if I take a picture off of that it doesn't have scan lines but my cameras playing up, someone said that you can use your *xbox live cam* which I have one of but what do I do with it? Thanks

(How to) Roleplay in Fable II

Ok, so I was playing some Fable 2 on my fifth or six play-through, And I was thinking about the concept arts and how they dress and such, then I thought of one of Peter's interviews and how he said all other role-playing games are s***.
Since I found no Fable 2 role playing Guide, I thought I might make some up,

These are not actual rules to play by, these are suggestions
for you to take into the Fable 2 universe,
you should pick the ones you like, you do not have to follow all of them.

*_Everyday Life_*
This will cover everyday life, such as living in Bowerstone or wherever.

1. Buy food for yourself, everyone needs to eat.

2. Wear different clothing everyday (Or every other day, because I know it's annoying to constantly change clothing)

3. Sleep at night, or day (Depends on your role play life e.g your a vamp or something)

4. If it rains, wear a hood.

5. If it is winter, wear clothing that looks insulated, I would suggest mixing some bandit clothing around with everyday clothing. (Knothole Island)

6. Categorize yourself, are you, Lower Class, Middle Class, Upper Class or a adventurer?

_*Marriage and Children*_
This will cover the light of your life.

1. Buy food for you, your wife and children, give the food to your wife (Fish, meat or anything that needs cooking, hell, maybe you could cook it)

2. Buy them gifts, chocolate, flowers.

3. You could tell them how much you love them, or get into arguments.

_*Traveling *_
This will cover traveling.

1. Try not to use quick travel but instead travel there by foot or carriage.

2. At night, camp out.

_*Combat*_ & *_Skills_*
This will cover combat and skills.

1. If you get shot or wounded in battle, even if it's not serious, run away or seek immediate shelter, in real life, you may not be fighting with your guts spilling out or your shoulder having a bullet hole in it. However if it's not a serious shot, drink a potion. If you have your toughness up, maybe you can take a few shots.

2. Skills, ok, so maybe you won't build up muscle by fighting, you have to work for it, if you are a warrior, try doing a few jobs first,
woodcutting, blacksmithing, before upgrading that physique.
Speed, run around alot or serve some Ale.
Will, I never play a Will hero, maybe someone can suggest something.

This is all I have so far, im very open to suggestions and they could be added here,
Also, Im not sure if this goes in Fable II Help, so if it does can a mod move it? ^_^

Firstly.. i dont know if its been posted before (search came up with nothing)
(and i hope not)

But.

In the Childhood part of the game (as mine randomly glitched after a save and wont load that file anymore forcing a restart, Grr.)... has anyone noticed the dead monk and coffins blocking your path towards Rookridge and the Cementary?

It's possible in an RPG based on exploration, at least so early in the game.. that nobody looked..

But is there an established story behind it or was it just randomly thrown in there to restrict movement in that part of the game? O.o

---Quote (Originally by Kotaku)---
This has happened to me every time I play one of these modern games with a “morality” system or whatever. Like, in Fable II, a man is dying by the side of the road, and it’s the same number of button presses to save the guy’s life as it is to kill him and then make your on-screen avatar laugh about it. Why should I bother to, you know, be a jerk in a video game, given the choice? Why was Peter Molyneux actually surprised that people more often than not play the part of the good guy? As Matt Damon said in The Talented Mr. Ripley, no one ever considers himself a bad person. You have to actually try to be “bad” in a game. You have to try pretty hard, sometimes. You have to willingly detach yourself from the game. In a way, maybe this makes you and the game best buddies. Or maybe it makes you worst enemies. It’s a coin toss.
---End Quote---

---Quote (Originally by Kotaku)---
We’ve got Fable II, right? I might have mentioned before how I’m that guy who’s really good at making a game look stupid within seconds of picking it up. In Stranglehold I ignored the on-screen navigation and slid back and forth over a tabletop for maybe two straight minutes. It was hilarious. In Fable II, I stood in town square immediately after they let you go to the town the first time, and I just started spamming the “thumbs-up” gesture for, like, a minute. I had a crowd of people gathered around. Curious, I kept spamming the gesture. I knew there was a computer program trained to recognise “thumbs up” with a positive reaction. However, what I didn’t realise was precisely how bone-headed the game was about to be. It turns out that “favorable reaction” stacks up over time, giving no priority to the size or impact of events. After 30 minutes of thumbs-upping in town square, I had no less than half a dozen girls repeating “I bet you’ll be giving me a ring, then?” Is that all it takes to get a girl to want to marry you — just prove to her that you are capable of repeating the same tiny task over and over again for a half an hour at a time? (I wonder if one of those shops that airbrushes a photograph of your kitten onto a sweatshirt would do a sweatshirt with a picture of my Dragon Quest IX party on it.)
---End Quote---

---Quote (Originally by Kotaku)---
Now, I’m all for a thumbs-up button in games. I’ve said before that Grand Theft Auto games are all about violence because there isn’t a “hug button”. Can you make a whole game where there’s only a hug button? What about this Milo thing that Fable II developers Lionhead are working on? It’s a whole game built around the idea of interacting with a little boy. That better be really clever.
---End Quote---

---Quote (Originally by Kotaku)---
Maybe playing Love Plus and thinking about Fable II again has allowed me time to think about the nature of violence as an interaction in a game: When you get a girlfriend in Love Plus, you begin a complicated relationship — which is even more complicated for the game designers than it is for you. In Grand Theft Auto, when you shoot a pedestrian, you end a shallow relationship which began only milliseconds earlier, when you pulled out your gun.
---End Quote---

Even though there aint muc on fable II i thought this article was interesting

Can you make a whole game where there’s only a hug button? What about this Milo thing that Fable II developers Lionhead are working on? It’s a whole game built around the idea of interacting with a little boy. That better be really clever.
