Well, I may be late on this, but Fable 2 will be at GDC 2008. Peter M will be talking about the three big features, using the game to show proof of it.

Session Description
Peter Molyneux's stated ambition as a designer is to make FABLE 2 a landmark game. In order to achieve this three big design features have been added. The inspiration and rational behind these features will be discussed along with their evolution throughout the development process. The wider context of their impact and influence on the RPG genre with also be examined as the ambition is also to evolve the genre itself. The talk will be supported by retrospective videos as well as live game examples.

He's announcing the Big features not talking about new ideas that he just thought up that the design team will hear about when he talks about it at the conference. If he's talking about it they already have it in the game.

wow, thought I'd be the last person to see this, and it ends up being on the home page. Pretty cool.

And yes, they are just talking about the previously announced features (Love and combat) and the not-yet-released third feature, while showing that they are not making wild claims based merely on ideas, without actually trying it first. Basically, Lionhead is saying, "Hey, you know how stuff was left out of Fable that was promised? Well, now, we will show you that it won't happen for Fable 2."

for one I think that Lionhead was more secretive than ever when starting talks on fable 2 , not alot has be revealed. Has Petah learned his lesson. I really hope that this is the landmark game he and Lionhead is aiming for. They have such hi standards and the industry is changing

Yea, the unfortunate thing is that Project Ego was the landmark game that they were hoping for, however, Fable was not. Can't wait to see what they pull together this time around.
