Fable 2 Pre-order and possible release date.

What up everyone? I recently headed to GameStop for a copy of an old game, american Mcgees; Scrapland, and I asked if there was a for sure release date for Fable 2; They said Yes sir!! October 2nd fable 2 will be on the shelves but the official date is Oct 1st. So I pre ordered that bad mamma jamma and now Im in line!
Is this a fo sho release date or is it bogus ? Also they said there is a special edition of F2 available.

Best Buy has sku'd up two different Fable 2 products one of which is a Limited Edition and both with Microsoft part numbers assigned to them.

As for the release date:
I'll second Andy on the Bogus
Did you ask the Gamestop employee how he knows that the release date is definite?

No I didnt ask him, I should have. but I figure, it has to be only a couple months shy of right either way. I personally think we'll see fable to between august and Christmas, hopefully sooner. IM just glad to have it reserved, besides if the date is wrong its their *** anyway.

Bogus. Don't trust any date that anyone tells you until LH gives the official announcement.

I was reading something about Fable 2 is being released on the 30th of November

I am not going to reserve it till Lionhead announces the release date. And when I finally do get it I can quit my job and die happy. After I play it, that is. I am willing to wait as long as it takes for them to release it cuz when they do it will be perfect.

with all the clues given so far it seems anywhere from October-December and somewhere near a holiday.... the suspense is killer

I recently went into GAME and they said some time in October if this is true it might be an early or late birthday present that is of course if it is out in October

Not that it matters... but Gamestop's website lists the date as October 1st, so the poor sales clerk just got his information from corporate. Circuit City has the same date. Oddly enough, Amazon has the date listed as October 30th. Best Buy has it for December 15th. IGN and Gamespot both say that it will be released "around fall."

Obviously... none of them have a clue. The only smart store I have found is Game Crazy. Their release date? December 31st.
