thats really intersting to see how the orbs work, but what i really wanna know is how this is going to work with the game progressing while offline

64 orbs just floating around? Man, that'll clutter up some stuff pretty easily.

So if one server crashes, we're all offline?

I assume that if it's offline it'll just update it the next time you log online. Also, yes we'll all be offline if one server crashes (this isn't that unusual, actually. Having one server. I imagine its a manageable amount of data.) but at least you'll still be able to play offline :-P

From Fable 2, yes. From XBL, no.

Re: Fable II: All single-player games stored on MS server, 64 simultaneous orbs in wo
what is 64 the limit because what would happen if you got 65 friends who were playing it what would happen to the extra one and i dont think the server will crash there going to make it reliable

Re: Fable II: All single-player games stored on MS server, 64 simultaneous orbs in wo
I don't think that 65th friend isn't going to be a problem. Put it this way, you still have your friends list, and you're not going to be switching from everyone else's worlds every five seconds like the Penny Arcade skit about being able to check Gamescore with a cell phone.
Still, depending on the size, wouldn't 64 orbs be a lot of room to cover? It'd sort of be like the Matrix: a field of embryos...
