In all interviews with Lionhead, whenever coop is mentioned, they always refer to the "buddy" or "friend" in the singular and never plural. This leads me to believe that you will be playing with one other person only, which is fine by me. The mechanics are too complicated to add more than one other player into the fable world. People are calling this an MMORPG where as I'd call it an MMORPG-Light or Diet MMORPG...you get the idea.

As far as marriage goes, you cannot marry a coop buddy. This I know for fact, it was in a video interview with PM himself. The reason: LH didn't think about it! He laughed at the thought because it seemed so obvious but they didn't think of it until a fan had questioned it and by then it was too late the code was written. Here is the
link confirming you cannot marry a coop partner. It's question #4 during this video interview.
As far as making babies with them I do not think this was thought of either because the child would be sent to an orphanage as soon as it was born because they had no parent looking after them while you were questing in your game.
