Fable III videos, interviews and a few other pieces of info!

I did some searching and I found some info, some of it has probably already been posted, but some of it hasn't yet.

First Details on Fable III - (Source) Kotaku

Instead of becoming a hero, players will start out as the son or a daughter of the hero from fable II and become the ruler of all, For the first half of the game, players will lead a fight against a tyrant king by gathering support, gaining followers and uniting factions and then face the reality of why those things happen in the world.

Players must decide which promises they can keep for their followers, and those choices will not be as easy as they sound.

The developer has been inspired by historical figures like Joan of Arc, Richard III and Genghis Khan.

Your consequences and your judgments affect not just you, but the whole of your land

Like other Fable games, players can play the title for or . Choices include poverty, greed, tyranny, compassion, progress and tradition. Also, like in Fable II, the player's family will have a role in the game. You can expand your castle to please your queen or king, but at the expense of taking money from the pockets of your people. Characters from Fable II will also be appearing in the title.

The landscape of Albion will range from lush green to industrialized to show "dynamic regions" and how they show things like poverty and injustice.

Fable III allows players to pardon citizens or sentence them to whatever fate they like. It's up to the player to make those judgments.

Touch allows players to shake hands, hug, embrace and even give a "full passionate snog". "Dynamic Touch" allows players to hold hands and, for example, pull them along to look at the sunset.

Fable III was announced for a late 2010 release

Teaser features the voice of Teresa narrating over a shot of a crown in the grass. "The race for the crown has begun."

*Players will become king or queen of Albion after overthrowing a tyrant ruler during the first half of the game. Choices and consequences affect not just your hero, but the entire kingdom. Themes include poverty vs. greed, tyranny vs. compassion, progress vs. tradition, etc.

*Players will control the son or daughter of their character from Fable II several decades after the first game

*On Journey to rule, players will make promises to allies in exchange for support and they can choose to follow through or blow them off. They'll also see the injustices of the world and can decide what they'll change when they're in charge. Though there may be a reason why things are the way they are.

There will be far more transforming regions in the game similar to Bowerstone in Fable II. The castle can be expanded and fancied up or left to go to ruin due to gold being spent on helping the poor.

Adventurers will explore outside of Albion this time, Molyneux displayed some kind of desert region. This seems to indicate that players may have to battle against other kingdoms once they become king. Molyneux admits that Lionhead didn't truly get the drama right in the first two games because the story sections couldn't be evaluated until the end of production. This time around they hired a director and spent weeks filming actors to perform the entire game script to ensure the story presentation is up to snuff. The footage was brought back to the animators to adapt into the game.

*A new Judgment system allows players to decide the fate of citizens brought before them. Say a woman is brought before you for stealing food out of the royal kitchen. You can decide if she's guilty or innocent right away or wait to hear her side or even go to investigate her claims. When it's all said and done you can throw her in the dungeon, let her go, or give her money if you were hooked in by her sob story of poverty.

*Molyneux said that heroes in Fable II were detached from the world around them because they don't touch anyone. Touching will be a major mechanic in Fable III. You can shake people's hands when you meet them and move on to hugging and smooching over time. Touching will also be used directly in accomplishing quest objectives. For example, you hear a child trapped in a burning building and you can lead him out by the hand, comfort him if he's too scared, or just pick him up and run out of there.

Re: Fable III videos, interviews and a few other pieces of info!

Hey, could someone double check for me and make sure I have all the current fable III vids and other news stuff? and I was wondering, could this be stickied? I plan on making it a current Fable III database and update it as often as possible, linking to all vids and giving necessary credits.

Dang, Double Post

I Think Peter Acually is serious about this game, espically to get actors and film the whole thing THEN get animators to re-do it.
