Pre-order a copy of "Fable II," and earn or gamble away in-game gold via Xbox LIVE Arcade Fable II Pub Games in preparation for the game's full retail launch later this year.
Lionhead Studios and Microsoft Game Studios today announced that consumers who pre-order a copy of the Xbox 360 exclusive, "Fable II," at participating retailers worldwide, will be given free access to download the "Fable II" Pub Games when they are released this August.
Available exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade, fans can transfer the gold earned in these casino-style mini-games to the world of "Fable II," when the game is available later this year. The final names of the Xbox LIVE Arcade "Fable II" Pub Games (which will be available as one download) are: "Keystone," which is a combination of Craps and Roulette, "Spinnerbox," which is an updated take on slot machines, and "Fortune's Tower," which is a press your luck style of game. The download will also include a Shell, which is a tutorial of all three games.
Now and for the first time ever, "Fable II" fans can get a head start on their virtual experience, starting their long awaited quest through this sequel with gold in the bank and the ability to purchase items right off the bat, such as weapons, clothing, houses, dog tricks and more - an experience that can only be found on Xbox LIVE Arcade. The "Fable II" Pub Games will also be available for purchase over Xbox LIVE in August for those that do not pre-order "Fable II" for 800MS points.
Lionhead and Microsoft Game Studios also announced details of a limited collector's edition of "Fable II" available for pre-order at retailers worldwide, for a suggested price of $79.99 USD. The limited collector's edition includes: a bonus disc with a new behind-the-scenes making of video, collectible Hobbe figure, a LIVE trial card and additional in-game content (an Xbox LIVE account is required to access the limited collector's edition bonus in-game content). The "Fable II" standard addition is also available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of $59.99. "Keystone," "Spinnerbox" and "Fortune's Tower" will also be embedded as part of the full retail copy of "Fable II" (limited collector's and standard editions).
holy crap!!!! i just pre-ordered fable 2 limited edition at gamestop for $80, they didnt say anything about FR33 pub games! well at least i dont have to spend 800 ms points. but now what am i going to buy with 1600 ms points??
I am sure it will be announced what is in, all I know is that it is quite a lot and some of it quite unique (not something I've seen before in an RPG or other game). Ok not revolutionary but a nice touch nonetheless.

1. How do we know where to preorder so we get the pub?
You will have to wait for Microsoft to announce that. I'm sending an email to see if we're allowed to tell you (but I first need to know what we would tell you)
Mumpert9:
2. If we have already preordered will we still get the acess?
Don't know really - my safe bet would be to wait until someone announces the participating retailers and then to check with the place where you placed a pre-order.
Mumpert9:
3. How does the process work? besides we preorder it and we can play?
I think you'll get a code from your retailer to redeem and then download it with. But that's not confirmation, I don't know.
Mumpert9:
4. can you play these games online with friends?
The shandalone game allows you to play in several different types of tournaments that won't be available in the in-game version. They are all single player.
Mumpert9:
5. Will the Fable 2 be released 6 weeks after the XBLA games are released?
Heh you are trying to find out the release date, I'm sure you'll know soon enough how much in advance the pub games come out, just wait a bit longer...
On the DVD and Content

No the pub games are not LE extra game content - you get the standalone pub games for free when you pre-order the LCE or RE in participating retailers. Is it so hard to read?
The in-game content is A LOT of stuff, some that is quite unique as well for an RPG.

The behind the scene DVD, will probably be the dev. diary and maybe some other interview we most likely can see somewhere on the web.
Nopes it is an actual film-style feature, with footage from the dev diaries but only about 30% of stuff you already seen. I know because I worked my sodding *** off for a couple of months on it. (it is not finished yet)
If you haven't pre-ordered I would hold off. If you have I would hang tight. Details are sure to be revealed at E3

thanks for the info i am defently getting the limited edition and preordering it once we find out what sites you can preorder from and get the code for the pub games +rep
wow what a great surprise! I just bought a 360 and Pre odered last week so cheers for me ( as long as Gamestop is participating.....:realma d:they better be..)
I haven't really ever pre-ordered before but I think an exception might be in order this time. If there is extra conent in-game to be had then I just know I won't be satisfied unless I have access to it. Being the greedy "must have it all" person that I am, without that content, the game just won't work out for me.
But that pre-order doesn't need to be full-price right off the bat, does it?
