Ok, but I can't seem to decipher what sound card I have

The black out-lined thing is the list of sound cards they have in the download link supplied by the Microsoft error page. Behind that is my sound card thing

Problem seems to be with the Audigy 1 range of cards.

I asked if you had windows blinds and dont recall getting an answer, if you do try disabling it.

But yea, didn't I install that windows update yesterday.

And are you saying WindowsBlinds could be the cause of the problem?

(Sephy) I installed the game a loooong time ago... I only take disc 1 around with me because you need it to play the game.

Oh and I am pretty sure its not the mods Todd and Drakan. No offense, but I am confident that if I get a new disc it will work...

Hey for cleaning this disc, what do you reckon I should use? I've been trying to use a towel but no luck.

Cleaning alcohol.... just use something soft thats not going to scratch disc.


Pick something up and see, not hard to tell that a rough cloth or paper towel will scratch disc to pieces. I just use a soft T-Shirt to wipe my discs clean and sometimes alcohol cd cleaning wipes.
