Same prob. Different outcome with the trader in the heros guild, but it still crashes in there too.
edit: problem fixed, redownload the trainer, it breaks after a while, or it breaks the first time. either way, it is still really useful.

Re: Fable Trainers
Hey everyone I tried downloading the first shop trainer but both links are broken. Does anyone have another website I can download from? If anyone does it will be much appreciated.
Cheers, savk

Re: Fable Trainers
Heh, it seems that the first Fable Shop Trainer has been assimilated into the final version. Personally, I think Shop Trainer 2 is more of a hassle; however, it also provides a list of all the number codes for all items. Looks like you'll have to just get the final version and deal with it.

Do you have Winzip or something similar? It should be as simple as right clicking and extracting to the folder it offers.

Re: Fable Trainers
Yes, there's also the native zip handling done in Windows XP and Vista. It shows up as a compressed folder, right-clicking gives an extract shell extension. No WinZip needed for typical zip files, which is precisely why I prefer things be packaged as standard zip.
The more likely reason for not being able to extract the app is that your antivirus is blocking it. Disable it, add an exception, remove the app from quarantine, whatever, refer to your AV documentation to figure out what you need to do. The app isn't a virus, but it does include a keylogger as part of how it works, AV gets flagged but it's only a false positive. AVs typically do something to keep you from using it.

Re: Fable Trainers
I have downloaded the Worf Trainer, and tried to use it. All worked fine, except for the 'Freeze XP', and 'Add 1 million to Strength/Skill/Will' options. Any idea why? I loaded the trainer after entering the game, and vice versa.
If there's a way to add/freeze experience points without a trainer, it would be nice if someone could explain. Sorry for asking too much help, but I guess I need it, heh.

Use the +24 trainer. It does more and works better.

Re: Fable Trainers
Thanks. I tried the 24+ trainer before, and it wouldn't want to work. I guess it was because I didn't use it correctly. Now it does work -- thanks.

Re: Fable Trainers
I hate to necro threads, especially for a game as old as this for this reason, but I was curious if anyone had ever figured out how to get the +24 trainer to work in Vista without the game crashing. I had used that one back when I had XP, so I'm missing it's wide range of funtions, lol. I tried running both it and the game under Windows XP compatibility and "as an administrator," but to no avail. I'd hate to believe there's no way around it, but I'd at least like that confirmed if that's the case.
