Few questions

1.What's the difference between weapons? Like I know you can finish an enemy with a sword when he's lying unconscious but not with an axe. Then what's the axe good for? And the club?

2. Did anyone notice that the sparrow killing quest at the Heroe's Guild sometimes gives good alignment and other times bad? Anyone knows why?

3. Is there anyway to skip the childhood phase and jump straight to adulthood? Its annoying to go through it every time I create a new character.

4. What's the best way to get 14+ CM for the Demon Door in Darkwood Caves?

I haven't played Fable in a while, but I can answer some of your questions

3. You may be able to skip it with mods, but there is no other way that I know of.

4. I always used a weak bow and physical shield on any Earth Trolls that spawned there, it worked for me. (Be sure to hold the arrow until your Combat Multiplier starts to drop, then let it go)

You have to go through training each time, unless, there's a way to mod, that out, but I don't think so.
Build up your combat multiplier, like the guild master says. I usually go into the cave and fight until, I hear the guild master, tell me I have a fine combat multiplier, or something like that. Then I go back, and fight in front of the door. It's well worth getting the new weapon, behind that door.I believe it's the strongest you can get for awhile.

I think it is mostly personal preference. I prefer to use a greathammer or the Sentius. I do not like the stab them on the ground part. I want them up on their feet so I can cut their head off.
Unmodded, the difference in weapons is that the legendary ones will have augmentations. The Sentius is good because it has a silver aug and is very strong. You get a silver aug during the White Balverine Quest, but have no real strong weapon to put it on. Before I modded I got Sentius before that quest.

As to Question 4, from Grtwd Caves teleport to Barrow Fields go to the Grey House, get CM high by killing the undead there. Now teleport back to Grtwd Caves(Recall) kill the troll and you should have 14 or more CM.

like jwc said i think that great hammers, axes, and maces are really only used because people like the way they look or like decapitating more often (jwc2200)
