^Hum, if the whole game doesn't freeze try replacing the batteries in your controller, it remedied a simalar situation I had with Force Unleashed

Ok, well you need to restore the original firmware and repair any damage you have done to any of the other files... This will prevent you from playing backups though... I'm not sure how the process goes but good luck lol
