Re: Frying pan

That's either a blatant lie or the furthering of a myth, bogus stuff there.

Re: Frying pan

Yeah, the Frying Pan is meant to be a booby prize. It has no real value at all.

Re: Frying pan

Actually, the frying pan can be very useful. Because it has so many augmentation slots, you'll be able to restore health or mana very quickly if you manage to get 5 health or mana augmentations. It helps a lot on a strict will using character.

yeah, of course i know about restoration system using frying pan, but that doesn't make it a POWERFUL weapon.

Re: Frying pan

I never said it was powerful, I said it was useful. I like to have it because I usually don't go through a game on TLC using all 3 hero disciplines. I use 1 or 2, and if that doesn't include melee, the frying pan is very helpful in restoring health and mana. That's also why I buy the master longbow on a melee or will game. I won't be using it to fight, but its 3 augmentation slots help with health and mana restoration.

Re: Frying pan

Like Necromancer11 said, its only really useful for mana/heath augmentations. Its just ment to be amusing, but that amusement quickly wears off after you kill about 3 bandits with it, or until you realize how ineffective it is compared to other weapons you own.

In my opinion, its best for a pure will user. Just equipt it with all mana augments (easier said then done) and your mana will replenish itself really quickly. It doesn't really replace potions when your in the heat of battle, but it sure is handy. But if you use melee weapons a lot, then its not a very good choice.

Re: Frying pan

oh, i found it very powerful when attach 5 silver augmentations and counter white balverines, apart from it, it's a terrible weapon

Re: Frying pan

Yes, because of the augment response armour rating of the balverines, silver augmentations prove to be quite useful, particularly against white balverines.

Other augments effect damage differently than sharpening augments, which compounds the damage. If the other augments compound damage as well, a frying pan with five silver augments can deal 155520 damage to a white balverine (before factoring Hero strength) while a master greatsword with only three silver augments would deal only 15390.

But, if it doesn't compound, the same frying pan would only do 520 damage while the same master greatsword would do 1140, which sounds more realistic to me. But then it's LionHead so there's no telling.
