The Kraken thing I've seen before - also my arrow crosshair turns red even thought there is nothing there to shoot at...

That's happened to me also. I think it happened coming the opposite way as well. It only happened once for some reason, as if the game tried to fix it or something before I came back. Either way, great screenshot sephi. +rep

Try casting slow time before entering the room, you can get a good look at it that way, especially if you're coming from the bargate side
