GTA IV Gets Perfect 10 By IGN

The GTA IV excitement just keeps building and its starting to reach explosion point with a couple of 10/10 scores by reviewers and most recently IGN (known for harsh reviews) also giving it a 10.

Watch the people and you'll witness some amazing things. At one point, I saw a woman stopped at a light, looking in the rearview mirror right before she was rear-ended by a man ogling a girl on the street. The man got out of his car and went to the woman, checking to see if she was okay. This had nothing to do with Niko or a single action I took. These were the citizens of Liberty City going about their day. And it was just one moment in a day full of incidents.

That a game with great AI, an awesome physics engine and a detailed open world, runs so well and with such short load times is a technical marvel.

Rockstar's RAGE engine coupled with NaturalMotion's Euphoria engine creates a game world with some stunning physics. Each brand of car handles differently (you can actually see the suspension in action as you make sharp turns). What will really surprise people is that these physics work with characters while in cars. So Niko's weight shifts to one side as he makes a turn and his head snaps forward when he slams the brakes. There is also a full neurological system built into Niko so that his body knows how to react to other objects. At one point I drove an ambulance off a high stunt jump. The cinematic camera swung around to show Niko taking his hands off the wheel and covering his face before impact.

That one I don`t quite get. Are they saying that the plot of this game is very, very good, something we haven`t seen in a game featuring guns? Sounds doubtful.

Don`t get me wrong, I don`t have anything against GTA 4, this part left me a little confused.

Or are they saying that the graphics, physics and other stuff take this game to an uber-level?

Nice. A perfect 10 is definitely rare nowadays. I'm personally looking forward to Grand Theft Auto 4 but we'll have to see if it really is perfect or not. Some of the footage from the IGN GTA4 video review was pretty funny - especially some of the more... adult-oriented scenes. Hehe.

Yeah they said its the first GTA where they have had more fun doing the missions than merely messing around in the city. They said the story and plot is superb as well as the voice acting and such.

I'm really excited for this tomorrow. Is anyone going to the store at midnight to get the game? I'm not, as excited as I am. That seems crazy to me to do when I have other responsibilities during the week.

I was tempted if i could have got to any as there are none in our town that are open at midnight. That and having to get up at 6am for work.

Waiting for my copy to arrive is going to suck.

Im getting cold sweats at work knowing it wont be there when i get home.

Got told it could be a while before any online retailers restocked so i cancelled my order and ordered one of the in stock special editions. Costs a decent amount but im a games addict and i need my GTA fix, ive waited too long already and anything that makes me get the game sooner will be worth it.

im playin it no w=p tho i dont like the sterrin on the cars the brake well dodgy anf the drivin angle tends to pull and fix on the right side makin it harder to steer

From what ive seen the driving looks a lot more realistic and apparently every car in the city handles differently according to the reviews.

PS My copy is currently being dispatched apparently, maybe i wont have to wait as long as i thought.
