I remember seeing a picture of the guild except it was in ruins.

Actually there is a pic somewhere of the hall of heros so, I seriously doubt the guild is gone. AAMOF I know its not destroyed.

i remember hearing something that the guild was destroyed, and you explore it early on as a dungeon at theresa's behest (heh i said a clever word)

Now that's an idea- undercover heroes. I imagine it'd be pretty hard to stay secretive if you're like 10 feet tall with a halo around your head like in the first one... but oh well.

I think this topic has waaay too many spoilers (Not that I care)

Warning, this is a spoiler!

Well the hero find the guild (in ruins) in the first 3 hours of gameplay where he/she and a group of friends attempt to recreate the guild.

Heres what happened to cause the destruction after the invention of gun powder just after the hero beats dragon Jack of Blades, the people of Albion revolt against the heros with there new found wepons and kill the 'heros' and hunt them down. The villagers light the guild causing its down fall.
