G'day all ! How's it goin?

Ok, so i decided to get back and play Halo 3 and bother to finish off the campaign, etc. I have started up the multiplayer side of the game and have had a bit of trouble with the achievement above. I am using the Multiplayer disk I got with Halo 3: ODST (which I love btw and it is the main reason why I have started to play again )

I have got 5 EXP and have played 10 ranked matches and I have Graduate Pin on my service record but I didn't get the achievement. Basic Training is also no longer available. Ohh but I haven't unlocked the ODST Helmet yet for my MP Armour. Am I missing something or do I have to be playing game modes other than Team Slayer?

there was a thread about this on the bungie forums.

SOLUTION
it's been a huge problem in the halo community, bungie recommends getting 50 EXP (liutenant rank) in a single playlist claiming that to solve the problem.

if you do that and it doesn't work, consider trying it in a social playlist as well as ranked, just to be sure.

beyond that there is no fix as of yet, and it seems that getting 50xp isn't solving the problem for everyone.
