After much speculation, microsoft has finally announced that the latest addition to Halo 3 DLC known as the mythic map pack will be available to the public on April 9th.
It will feature 3 maps: Sandbox, Orbital, and Assembly.
Sandbox: a map with 3 levels independent of eachother without the forge. there is the middle level which is half buried ruins similar yet smaller to those in sandtrap. the lower level is a tomb known as a crypt, and there is an area known as the skybox where in forge you can build practically to your hearts content from scratch.
Orbital: a small level staged in a space station. there is little to be said about this map other than that it is great for a gritty dragged out game of ctf.
Assembly: a map set in a scarab building facility. this map confirms that scarabs are controlled by the worms that make up hunters for halo folklore.
all 3 maps have a skull hidden on them which can only be found in forge. each offers an achievement, and finding all 3 gets you a vidmaster achievement which will work towards granting recon armor.
