Seems that some French retailers have already got copies of the record breaking Bungie sequel Halo 3 in stores. However they arent selling them early, they have merely got the shipment in ready for the rush of sales when it releases and to get prepared to get all the preorders out on time. It was the French that let Halo 2 slip out early in the past (See here)and also some chains in the US were guilty too (See here). So i think Microsoft will be keeping a close eye on retailers to make sure that doesnt happen again.
